Showcased earlier in the year at Musikmesse 2010 (NAMM show), last week Hercules fully unveiled their hot new piece of kit, the Hercules DJ Console Mk4 at the Musikmesse European trade fair in Frankfurt, a 2-deck portable DJ controller, featuring built-in audio available in June this year retailing at an estimated £179.99.
The self proclaimed ‘most portable and most compact 2-deck DJ controller with built-in audio for PC and Mac’ clocks in at only 26.5 x 18.7cm in size (10.4″ x 7.3″) and weighs a meagre 1.15kg (3.3lb), which makes the DJ Console Mk4 a great choice of controller for mobile DJs, wherever they are mixing.
Offering 2 stereo outputs (one for mixing, one for previewing), the Hercules DJ Console Mk4 also features 2 stereo audio inputs (unique in this product category) to connect any analogue audio sources.
Meaning DJs can integrate analogue audio into their digital mix, switch between mixing on their computer and mixing with standard DJ decks (CD or vinyl): and manipulate external audio sources just as they would with an analogue mixing setup through the cross fader, volume faders, 2 pitch encoder knobs, 6 EQ knobs, 2 jog wheels and 36 buttons and comes complete with the VirtualDJ® DJC Edition mixing software.
